but I think it is possible the Bickerton refers to Port Bickerton in Nova Scotia

Hard to beat the sincerity of his longing gaze though, curled up with the framed photo of her on his bed almost as if she were there! (Makes one wonder who took the photo, too!) Pretty true feeling, and pretty excellent. 5" x 4". A bit of curling and a bit of rippling and not a super crisp image, but pretty great still..
