While I ended up siding out all my removal in that particular match against Ross, I think its important for a deck like this to have that kind of interaction to buy enough time for your engines and payoff cards to come online
In constructed formats, it is a bit harder to have random chaffy dorks floating about, but in cube there are lots more things like Dusk Legion Zealot, Thraben Inspector, etc., all flavours of one power tokens and so forth, making Copter hard to handle and pretty consistently relevant
At the start of combat on your turn, you can pick another creature you control and give it haste and +X/+X, effectively doubling its stats
It is a strong monster to Normal Summon so it can hold its own in battle
While weaker than Rampant Growth et al due to their increased mana costs, these are still fantastic ramp spells
